We had a wonderful stay at The Gilberts Holiday Home. The location was fantastic, just minutes away from all the shops, pubs, and restaurants. The house itself was cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing weekend. The hosts were warm and welcoming, even leaving thoughtful essentials like wine and bread for us. We loved being able to walk to Alnwick Castle and the market, and the convenience of having Morrisons nearby. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. we had a perfect stay and would highly recommend this home for future visits to the area.

The location of this holiday home is fantastic, situated right in the heart of town and only a short walk away from the castle and gardens. It's perfect for exploring the local area and enjoying all that Alnwick has to offer. the house itself is spacious and well-equipped, with secure gardens which are great for families with pets. the host, Yvonne, goes above and beyond with thoughtful touches like providing essentials such as bread, milk, and toiletries, making it feel like a true home away from home.
Some guests mentioned that the furnishings in the property are quite basic, and the double bed is on the smaller side.

The value for money at Gilberts Holiday Home was excellent. The room was beyond our expectations and had everything we needed. The location was perfect, with a view of the castle from the bedroom windows, and we were treated so well by the lovely staff.
Breakfast items could have been more varied.

We were a bit worried when we booked because there were no photos of the property, but Yvonne, the host, was incredibly helpful and patient in reassuring us and even sent us pictures as soon as she had them. The house itself exceeded our expectations. It had everything we needed and was located in a quiet neighborhood with the convenience of being able to walk into town. The view of the castle from the bedroom windows was a pleasant surprise. it was a perfect family base and we will definitely be back again.
The double bed in the property was quite small and we regretted not choosing the twin room instead.

We had a fantastic time exploring the charming town and the North in general. the location of our accommodation was superb, as we could easily walk to the pub for dinner, visit a second-hand bookshop, and find a nearby field to exercise our dogs. the fenced garden was a bonus, ensuring our furry companions were safe throughout our stay. the house was also spacious and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The lack of towels provided was a bit inconvenient, especially considering the other amenities offered.
